- Lo primero que haremos es cortar los trozos de tubo que necesitamos: para el celeste 7 trozos de entre 8 y 12 cm, todos de diferente altura. Para el rosa 7 trozos de 6 cm.
Debemos pegarlos entre ellos con la cola, o con algun adhesivo de secado rápido, para poder seguir trabajando inmediatamente. Para hacer el portalápices celeste comenzaremos con el trozo más corto, e iremos pegando por detrás los demás trozos, alternando las alturas, y dejando el más alto para el final. Obtendremos de este modo una forma que recuerda a los caños de los órganos de iglesia.
Para el rosa es suficiente ir pegando los trozos de manera desigual, de manera que ningún borde coincida con el de otro trozo.
Dejamos secar bien la cola antes de seguir. - Cubrimos toda la superficie con aguaplast, con la ayuda de un pincel, no cargando demasiado de material para no tener que lijar demasiado después. Tenemos que prestar atención a rellenar bien los espacios entre tubo y tubo, para darle una mejor terminación. Extendemos muy bien el aguaplast en los bordes también, para darle más rigidez al portalápices y un acabado prolijo. Dejamos secar muy bien, tal vez hagan falta varias horas.
- Con una lija fina, lijamos dejando la superficie lo más lisa que podamos. El cartón se rompe fácilmente en los bordes, por lo que hay que tener cuidado.
- Para que los bordes queden prolijos, sin partes levantadas, daremos una mano de cola vinilica por todo el borde, por fuera y por dentro, al menos hasta donde lleguéis con el pincel. Dejamos secar nuevamente.
- Llegó la hora de pintar. Para el rosado, simplemente dimos una mano de color, teniendo cuidado de que cubra bien. En el celeste usamos un efecto ‟gastado”, y lo logramos dando una primera mano de color (celeste), y cuando esta primera mano está bien seca, aprovechamos que la superficie no había quedado muy lisa, acentuando la textura frotando con un pincel chato viejo con muy poca carga de pintura (color crema).
- Para terminar, y que queden más prolijos y bonitos, puedes decorarlos. En el portalápices celeste enroscamos varias veces alrededor de la base un hilo bonito, para formar una especie de zócalo que le sienta muy bien. Al portalápices rosa le hicimos un borde con bolitas de pasta moldeable, simulando una especie de bordado.
